The French version of the animated film Loving Vincent, directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman. In Paris, in the summer of 1891, Armand Roulin is charged with delivering a letter to Vincent Van Gogh’s brother, Théo, following the recent news of the painter’s suicide. Armand learns that Théo only survived him by a few months and subsequently travels to Auvers-sur-Oise, where the painter had spent his last months, to try to understand his desperate act.
A short film suggested by the National Film Board will precede the main feature.
