The City of Saint-Lambert invites you to celebrate this year’s Journées de la culture, which will run from September 29 to October 1, by participating in its Open Air Photo Rally. You will have a chance to discover the Open Air Museum collection ina new light, so why not take advantage (and it’s free)!
Take a guided tour of the Open Air Museum, led by Luce Vallières, photographer and co-founder, director of development and operations officer of the Maison de la photo de Montréal. She will offer you a new way of looking at this artistic project of our city. You’ll be asked to take photographs of the works with your smart phone and then to share your images on Instagram in order to create a virtual gallery under the hashtag #museeacielouvertstl.
Also as part of the event, the photographer will offer two workshops, on Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m., during which she will offer participants tips on how to improve their photographs.
The guided tours will start at Mercille Park:
- Friday, September 29, at 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, September 30, at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. or 4 p.m.
- Sunday, October 1, at 1:30 p.m. or 4 p.m.
Each tour will follow one of two themed routes. The first, entitled Terre des Hommes, will focus on the works dealing with humans and their relationship with the Earth; the second, entitled Techniques mixtes et mouvement artistique will let participants discover and understand different art forms through the works along the circuit.
People who wish to take part in one of the tours or photography workshops should complete the following form: https://goo.gl/forms/XfwjvI3az76IBaOl1. Registration is not mandatory.
Citizens can also take the tour by themselves by downloading the routes, available here or by going to Mercille Park, where they can meet the event leaders, who will be on hand on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and who will explain the route to them.
This activity is made possible thanks to financial support from the Québec government and the City of Saint-Lambert, under the Entente de développement culturel (cultural development agreement) between the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications and our city.
