The City of Saint-Lambert’s food drive collects 20 boxes to make up Christmas baskets
The City of Saint-Lambert thanks residents for having turned out in large numbers for the annual Christmas basket drive that took place between November 27 and December 15.
Many people showed up with non-perishable food items in exchange for a class, or simply dropped them off in the donation boxes provided for that purpose in the recreation centre and the library.
Thanks to the public’s generosity, 20 boxes were delivered to the Ecumenical Community Services, a community church group that provides assistance to families in need in Saint-Lambert, Greenfield Park, Lemoyne and Brossard.
This brings to a total more than 470 baskets that have been prepared since 2003 thanks to this most original municipal initiative.
