Public consultation on the seniors’ policy
With the creation of the ad hoc seniors’ roundtable last January, the City of Saint-Lambert initiated a process of reflection aimed at developing a seniors’ policy. The goal of this exercise is to better understand needs and highlight the issues that concern seniors, to help improve their quality of life.
Prior to elaborating such a policy, the City will hold a public consultation session with citizens to obtain their views and suggestions on the various directions and actions to take, on:
Tuesday, May 30 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
At the recreation centre
(600 Oak Avenue)
This consultation will begin with a brief explanation of the context, the current situation of seniors in Saint-Lambert and the agenda for the session.
Citizens will then have the chance to add to and comment on the various topics that were raised by the members of the ad hoc seniors’ roundtable. Citizens will be guided throughout this consultative meeting, and several stakeholders will be on-site in the room to provide assistance.
Give us your opinion!
As a complement to the public consultation, citizens are also invited to complete an online survey. As with the consultation session, the goal of the survey is to obtain citizens’ opinions on the issues, themes and priorities to be included in the forthcoming seniors’ policy. The survey will be available until June 11.
Ad hoc seniors’ roundtable
During the session, citizens will have the opportunity of meeting the members of the ad hoc seniors’ roundtable. The mandate of this committee included presenting a final report detailing the ideas, comments and improvements that were suggested, with the goal of contributing to guiding City Council’s decisions concerning seniors.
