Exhibition of Denis Poirier

Initiated during painting workshops with Seymour Segall from 2011 to 2014, Denis Poirier opened Galerie Carte Blanche in Montreal in 2014 and will have multiple exhibitions there.

The exhibition presented by Denis Poirier's at the multi-purpose centre is composed of large-format, non-figurative works, nourished by movement, the materials of the moment, non-judgment. Materials include acrylics, local dust, ashes, coffee, turmeric, charcoal, natural pigments, plastic and paper. For the artist, the joy of the painting process is the driving force of the moment, and the encounter with the birth of the work is its breath. The canvases are untitled, out of respect for the visitor, who is free to name them and travel through them.
