New outdoor photography exhibition at Coulée verte Park

Published on 18 Nov 2024

The Ville de Saint-Lambert is proud to present its outdoor photo exhibition project at Coulée verte Park.

This project is a continuation of the initiatives taken by the City to publicize local artists and their art. The artist was selected through a competition held in the community to find a local photographer. The artist chosen, Elisabeth Denis, is presenting her exhibition “La pratique immatérielle”. It includes seven photographs, along with an interpretation panel to help visitors understand her artistic process.

This photographic project is to highlight the symbolic role of objects rather than their material presence. Each photograph focuses strongly on form, light and shadow, allowing the immaterial nature of these objects to emerge. The immaterial is everywhere: in the space between things, in gestures that are repeated, in symbols that are handed down from generation to generation. Her work seeks to capture this essence in images that reinterpret these practices through photography.

The Ville de Saint-Lambert is proud to count this project among its cultural initiatives. The project falls under the cultural development agreement between the City and the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec (MCCQ).
