Grande guignolée des médias de la Rive-Sud: The Ville de Saint-Lambert is asking residents to give generously this holiday season
Published on 02 Dec 2024
The Ville de Saint-Lambert is inviting residents to help those less fortunate among us by contributing generously to the 23rd edition of La grande guignolée des médias de la Rive-Sud food drive that will be taking place on Thursday, December 7, throughout the Longueuil agglomeration.
This major operation seeks to raise money and collect food items that will be distributed to numerous organizations, including a few in Saint-Lambert. The donations will be used to provide food assistance to people in our community who are most in need during the holidays, and also to provide emergency food services throughout the year.
“In this holiday season, I invite all Lambertois and Lambertoises to show generosity towards those who are going through difficult times. The guignolée is much more than a food or fund drive: it's a gesture of solidarity and support for our community, a reminder that no one should be left behind. Mutual aid and sharing are strong values in Saint-Lambert, and I'm sure that our citizens will once again answer the call, as they do so well every year. Together, we have the power to make a real difference for these people and the organizations that help them,” said Mayor Pascale Mongrain
How to donate?
On Thursday, December 5, volunteers will be present between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. at various locations across the territory to collect donations. To find out about other ways to give or to make an online donation, citizens can visit the Guignolée website at guignoleerivesud.org.
