Boulevard de l'Union

The Ville de Saint-Lambert invited the residents of Union Boulevard facing the park to present two possible options for configuring the street at their level. These options are in direct line with the plan selected for the future rehabilitation of the rest of Union Boulevard. The presentation is available for consultation by clicking here (in French).

The City Council heard the comments and Option 1 was selected.

In parallel with the development of the plans and specifications, an urban forestry report will be carried out this fall to plan the proper management of existing trees during construction and future tree planting in the new green spaces that will be created.

The City will keep residents informed of all future developments in this project.

Context

On June 21, 2023, the Ville de Saint-Lambert held a public consultation concerning the upcoming rehabilitation work on Union Boulevard and Hickson Avenue. During the consultation, a presentation of the infrastructure rehabilitation project (median, sewers, aqueducts, roadway and sidewalks) was given to the residents in attendance, who were also able to hear the opinions of experts, including a landscape architect and a forestry engineer, on the various development scenarios analyzed for this boulevard. The presentation is available for consultation by clicking here (in French).

The Council then reviewed the file at its public meeting on July 4, 2023, and on several occasions since. Then, on May 26, 2024, residents were informed of the option that had been chosen. It is an option that leaves plenty of room for cool zones.
