New identity, same mission: Saint-Lambert library adopts a distinctive brand image

The Ville de Saint-Lambert is proud to unveil the brand new image of its municipal library.
Designed, among other things, to give the library a distinctive character and a visual point of reference in its communications and interactions, the new image reflects the library's dynamism, accessibility and central role in the community.
“This change symbolizes our desire to remain at the forefront while remaining true to our mission: to offer an environment conducive to learning, culture and discovery. We're delighted to present a brand image that reflects this desire,” says Elizabeth Jacques, Head of the Library Division.
At the heart of this transformation is a distinctive logo with a streamlined design. It features a stylized “B”, subtly evoking both a book and the famous boat from the city's official logo. This modern yet timeless graphic simplicity makes the logo easily recognizable and memorable.

A thoughtful approach
The choice of colors was carefully considered and reinforces the resulting identity: a light blue, symbolizing serenity and knowledge, recalls the peaceful atmosphere conducive to reading and learning. Alongside it, a dark blue evokes stability and professionalism, consolidating the library's credibility in its role as a cultural institution. Together, these hues create a harmonious contrast that draws the eye, while inspiring reliability and openness.
On certain occasions, green and yellow will accompany the main colors. As green is synonymous with concentration and learning, and yellow with intellectual curiosity and creativity, the choice is a wise one and in line with the library's mission.
Agradual deployment
The deployment of this new image and its variations will be gradual, progressively integrating into communications and spaces so that users can make it their own naturally. This breath of modernity will undoubtedly highlight all the library's much-appreciated assets.
