Culture will take pride in October in Saint-Lambert during the Rentrée culturelle!

The Ville de Saint-Lambert is proud to present the 6th edition of the Rentrée culturelle, which will be taking place throughout the month of October.

In collaboration with a number of cultural organizations, the City will present concerts, lectures, workshops, and performances during this month dedicated to celebrating and showcasing our cultural vitality. A host of 100% cultural discoveries await residents who take part in the event!

Program features

• Open house practice | Tuesday, October 8, at 6 p.m., at 485, Birch Avenue
  Attend one of the weekly rehearsals of the South Shore Children's Choir and share the pleasure of singing in chorus.
• Performance of Péri-Phonique orchestra | Friday, October 11, at 8 p.m., at the multi-purpose centre
  Discover the talent of the Péri-Phonique orchestra. You'll hear music from films and video games, classical pieces and even orchestral adaptations of pop music.
  
• Performance and demonstration | Sunday, October 20, at 2 p.m., at the multi-purpose centre
  This festive event will celebrate music by showcasing up-and-coming talent from the Conservatoire de musique de la Montérégie.
• Dance performances | Wednesday, October 23, at 7 p.m., at the multi-purpose centre
  Watch Studio Danse C students perform contemporary, jazz, hip hop and breakdance choreography.
• Conference | Wednesday, October 23, at 7 p.m., at the library (in French)
  Le photographe Jean-François LeBlanc, en collaboration avec la Fondation des Amis de la bibliothèque, vient présenter la parution de l'ouvrage Agence Stock Photo : Une histoire du photojournalisme au Québec.
• Conference | Friday, October 25, at 7 p.m., the multi-purpose centre (in French)
  Présentée par la Société d'histoire Mouillepied, cette conférence de l'historien Hugues Théorêt portera sur l’Ordre de Jacques-Cartier, une société secrète fondée en 1926, dont il est question dans son ouvrage intitulé La Patente.
• Performance | Saturday, October 26, at 3 p.m., at the multi-purpose centre
  Come in and discover the Saint-Lambert Choral Society in a 45-minute concert. You'll also be the first to discover the repertoire for their Christmas concert.

The Rentrée culturelle

The Rentrée culturelle was created in 2017 as an annual flagship event to promote Saint-Lambert’s cultural wealth. It consists of a series of activities with the goal of providing greater visibility to our full range of cultural services.
