A second community-wide garage sale will be held on Labour Day weekend
Published on 08 Aug 2024
Given the great popularity of the community-wide garage sale held each year in early June, the Ville de Saint-Lambert is pleased to announce that a second sale will be held on Labour Day weekend.
On Saturday, August 31, Sunday, September 1, and Monday, September 2, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., it’ll be the perfect time to get rid of forgotten articles in your attic or to scout around for unexpected treasures yourself.
As part of the new zoning by-law adopted at the municipal council meeting of April 15, 2024, the addition of this second collective sale responds to a demand widely expressed by the population, while promoting the circular economy. Indeed, buying reused items is an environmentally friendly gesture that helps prolong their life span and reduce the volume of waste, while also using up fewer natural resources.
The Ville de Saint-Lambert would like to remind residents that no permit is required for community-wide garage sales. To hold a sale at any other time of year, you must obtain a permit from the Urban Planning, Permits and Inspection Department at a cost of $25 (limit of one per year).
