The survey conducted by Léger between March 11 and April 4, 2024 confirms that Saint-Lambert residents appreciate their city by a large majority (96%), and feel safe (97%).
Residents are very proud of their city (8.3 versus the Léger (nL) norm of 7.9 for comparable cities). They also consider Saint-Lambert to offer remarkable advantages:
- a good place to raise their family (8.8 vs. 8.1 nL) ;
- a healthy, active lifestyle (8.5 vs. 8.0 nL);
- a good urban mobility (7.3 vs. 7.0 nL).
“This survey confirms that, overall, we are very happy and proud to live in our city. We have a strong sense of belonging to our city, and would recommend it to friends and family by a majority of 82%. Our main concerns for Saint-Lambert remain the state of our infrastructures, governance with Longueuil and our parks and recreational facilities. The municipal council takes note of these concerns,” said Mayor Pascale Mongrain.
Appreciated services
Several services have significantly higher satisfaction rates than the average for comparable cities. These include the library, recreational activities, neighborhood cleanliness, drinking water quality and all waste collection services.
Still in continuous improvement mode
Respondents would also like the Ville de Saint-Lambert to improve its park facilities, bike paths, sidewalk snow removal and municipal communications.
