Publicity

The Ville de Saint-Lambert is launching its “Your hurtful words still haunt me” campaign today, aimed at raising citizens' awareness of the consequences of disrespectful words and behaviour towards municipal employees.

All too often, Ville de Saint-Lambert employees are the victims of hateful comments, insults and disrespect, in person, by telephone, by e-mail or even on social networks. These incivilities, although isolated, have consequences for the well-being of the municipal staff who devote themselves to our community every day.

As an employer, the Ville de Saint-Lambert is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for its personnel, and to promoting a climate of respect and courtesy. The aim of this campaign is to initiate serious reflection on the profound impact our words can have on others, and to encourage the adoption of more benevolent behaviours.

It is also an invitation to strengthen the ties that bind us together in our community. Together, we can all contribute to building a more harmonious and supportive community, where everyone feels valued and respected. Simple but significant gestures can not only improve the well-being of those who work to serve us all, but also benefit all those around us in our day-to-day interactions.

Campaign concept

With this campaign, the Ville de Saint-Lambert wants to stand out and attract attention. Whether through the choice of color or typography, the aim is to catch the eye, pique curiosity and, ultimately, provoke reflection. Like graffiti, real comments received by municipal employees are highlighted. The punchy slogan is a reminder that these kinds of hurtful words can linger in the mind long after the interaction, and affect the morale of the person on the receiving end.

Roll-out of the campaign

The campaign will be gradually rolled out across all the city's communication tools: social media, website, digital and physical signage, newsletter, etc. The Ville de Saint-Lambert hopes that this initiative will encourage citizens to pay attention to their words and to favor respectful interactions.
