Permitted colors, materials and window models
To avoid delays and disappointment caused by the rejection of your exterior renovation project, we recommend that you choose among the colors, materials and window models previously authorized by the municipal council.
Please note that black is not one of these options, and we recommend that you opt for other colors.
We invite you to consult the Saint-Lambert Guide to Authorized Colours, Materials and Window Models (in French). This guide is intended to help owners, architects and contractors in their interventions on the city's territory to preserve Saint-Lambert's built heritage and avoid the project approval process by the municipal council provided for in the Site planning and architectural integration programs (commonly referred to by the French acronym, PIIA).
1. Request to occupy the public domain during construction work
In Saint-Lambert, you must obtain a certificate of temporary occupation of the public domain if you wish to :
- install temporary shelters, site fences, containers, scaffolding or a debris chute on the public thoroughfare;
- reserve a parking space for a contractor;
- close the public thoroughfare for work.
According to the Nuisance By-law 2006-19 - section 4, street deposit is not permitted. Under no circumstances may you deposit equipment, materials or debris on a public domain.
The public domain includes streets, alleys, sidewalks, bike paths, medians, public squares and parks.
Form
Please complete and sign the application form (in French). Once completed, send it to the following two e-mail addresses: genie@saint-lambert.ca and urbanisme@saint-lambert.ca. If the work is to be carried out on a Monday, you must submit your request by no later than the Friday morning preceding the Monday in question.
